Sensible à faire vivre l'artisanat français, j'ai demandé aux Verreries de Bréhat de réaliser ce lustre. Pensé comme un être vivant flottant dans l’espace Olumine rassemble tous les savoir-faire du verre le soufflage, la miroiterie, et le filage.Olumine chandelier won the competition organized by LINKCITY Sud Est in 2017. As it is important to me to support French craft industry, I asked the Verreries de Bréhat to make this chandelier. Thought of as a living being floating in the space Olumine brings together all the know-how of glass blowing, mirroring, and spinning. J'ai grandi au bord du lac Léman, les galets longent ses rives pour le sertir élégamment. Il y a quinze mille ans c'était un glacier. Reliquarium est un petit autel en bronze sur lequel se pose un galet. Il est sablé et poli par endroit, cette érosion lui donne une teinte rosée. Reliquarium fait honneur aux milliers d'années nécessaires aux vagues pour façonner les pierres qui entourent le lac ainsi qu'à l'apaisement que j'y trouve immergée dans ses eaux. Projet mené durant la Summer Design Holiday workshop 2025, porté et initié par le Studio Fabien Barrero+Carsenat.I question the place of the sacred in contemporary domestic space, searching for what remains to be cherished in a world overloaded with gadgets, where living things are disregarded. I grew up on the shores of Lake Geneva, its banks gracefully framed by pebbles. Fifteen thousand years ago, it was a glacier. Reliquarium is a small bronze altar upon which rests a pebble. It is sandblasted and polished in places, this erosion giving it a rosy hue. Reliquarium pays homage to the thousands of years it took the waves to shape the stones surrounding the lake, as well as to the peace I find immersed in its waters. Il est dessiné de manière à mettre à l'honneur les savoir-faire de l’entreprise Cintrafil (Edmond &amp; fils), notamment dans le domaine du cintrage de tubes en acier. La designer Elen Gavillet choisit de travailler avec un seul matériau et tente de réduire le nombre d'outils employés pour sa fabrication afin de répondre de manière cohérente à la thématique de la Biennale internationale du design 2025, et donc aux enjeux environnementaux contemporains. Elen Gavillet a imaginé les lignes du banc s’assembler avec élégance, formant des courbes fluides à l’image de branches qui se mêlent et s’enlacent, comme des lacets dansants qui se forment à l'orée d'un nuage de lait. En réinterprétant les typologies du mobilier en rotin, Elen a conçu ce banc comme une banquette de salon, cherchant ainsi à insuffler la chaleur de l’espace domestique au sein de l’espace urbain. Le banc, baptisé Otto, rend hommage à l’architecte Otto Wagner, dont l’oeuvre nourrit et inspire la designer depuis longtemps par les formes organiques qu'il employait pour habiller ses bâtiments.This bench was designed as part of Banc d’essai exhibition for the International Design BiennaIt is designed to showcase the expertise of the Cintrafil (Edmond &amp; fils) company, particularly in the tube bending. As part of the biennial, designer Elen Gavillet chose to work with a single material and attempted to reduce the number of tools used in its manufacture in order to consistently address the theme of the 2025 International Design Biennial, and thus contemporary environmental issues. Discussions between the company and Elen made it possible to limit the number of cuts and welds, favoring a less expensive and less energy-intensive approach.The inspiration for this project draws from the work of Italian architect Gae Aulenti, Irish designer Eileen Gray, and tubular furniture from the 1960s. Elen Gavillet imagined the lines of the bench coming together elegantly, forming fluid curves like branches that mingle and intertwine, like dancing laces that form at the edge of a cloud of milk. By reinterpreting the typologies of rattan furniture, Elen designed this bench as a living room bench, seeking to infuse the warmth of the domestic space into the urban space. Cet accessoire zoomorphe aux larges "oreilles" tient son nom de Dame Daphne Sheldrick fondatrice d'un orphelinat d'Éléphant au Kenya Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The resulting dough is then placed in a mold to take its final shape.&nbsp; This zoomorphic accessory with large “ears” takes its name from Lady Daphne Sheldrick, founder of an Elephant orphanage in Kenya Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. J'ai à coeur de garder la forme sphérique du vase Boule d'origine. Je repense les lignes en dessinant une seconde peau pour envelopper la forme circulaire centrale en lévitation. Cette surépaisseur permet de jouer avec deux motifs d'émail cloisonné qui dialoguent ensemble sur la même pièce. Le premier motif est inspiré des écailles des poissons et de la faune aquatique des abysses. Ces formes se répètent et rythme la surface du vase en faïence. Le deuxième motif est inspiré de la flore aquatique, des coraux et des algues qui dansent, ce dessin enlace le premier. Cet objet est en cours de réalisation dans la manufacture des Émaux de Longwy 1798.I amkeen to keep the spherical shape of the original Boule vase - Emaux de Longwy. I rethink the lines by drawing a second skin to envelop the central circular shape in levitation. This extra thickness allows to play with&nbsp; two cloisonné enamel patterns which dialogue together on the same piece. The first pattern is inspired by the fish’s scales and aquatic fauna of the abyss. These shapes are repeated and gives pace to the surface of the earthenware vase. The second pattern is inspired by aquatic flora, corals and dancing algae. This drawing embraces the first. Des objets qui ont une identité, des compagnons de vie avec lesquels faire un tout, avec lesquels on s'évade. Le motif* comme une fenêtre, une façon de faire rentrer l'extérieur à l'intérieur. Le motif comme un langage,qui raconte une histoire. Celui que j'ai dessiné se déploie et varie suivant la matière sur laquelle il repose, il est un paysage mouvant où l’on peut s'immerger, dans une autre échelle. Un système qui donne l'aspect mobile aux objets sans qu'ils aient l'air d'être provisoires. De la même manière qu'on vient tendre une tente ici on vient tendre, apprêter, habiller ses objets. Par un système d'assemblage utilisé et adapté à chaque mobilier le geste du montage et démontage, l'interaction avec l'objet, se répète et devient un rythme. Alors les objets sont apprivoisés, ils ne sont plus inconnus, on les connaît, nous sommes avec. Le système de sangles et de tréteaux devient alors lui aussi motif. The pattern, it brings the outside inside like a window. The pattern tells a story. The one I drew changes according to the material on which it is. It is like a moving landscape. It is also a way to immerse yourself on another scale. I used a system that gives objects the appearance of movement without appearing to be precarious or temporary. As we pich a tent here the idea is to tender; to prepare; to dress our objects. Through an assembly system adapted to each item of furniture, the act of assembly and disassembly repeats and becomes a rhythm. Thus, the objects are tamed, and are no longer unknown.
