Parcours



Elen Gavillet est une designer Franco-Suisse diplômée de l'école supérieure d'art et de design de Saint-Étienne en 2015. Elen fonde son studio en 2018 après avoir travaillé aux côtés du designer Patrick Rampelotto et dans le studio EOOS Design à Vienne, en Autriche, où elle y concevra objets, scénographies, accessoires et mobiliers.

Aujourd'hui Elen mène ses projets personnels, en parallèle elle enseigne dans le Master Design d'objet de
l'ESADSE. En 2021 elle remporte, le deuxième prix du concours la " Boule Art Déco " des Émaux de Longwy avec son vase Cosse qui sera réalisé en édition limitée. En 2018, elle est finaliste du concours lancé par Linkcity pour le siège de la CAF Loire, avec son lustre Olumine qu'elle fera réaliser par les verreries de Bréhat, avec qui elle continue de travailler.

Par sa pratique et ses collaborations elle tente de contribuer à la préservation des savoir-faire artisanaux et ancestraux. Son dessin a pour ambition de déplacer les techniques des artisans avec qui elle travaille pour trouver de nouveaux champs d'applications et de nouveaux horizons formels.

Elen Gavillet is a Franch-Swiss designer who graduated from the Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design in 2015. Elen founded her studio in 2018 after working alongside the designer Patrick Rampelotto and at the EOOS Design studio in Vienna, Austria, where she has designed objects, scenographies, accessories and furniture.

Today Elen leads her personal projects, at the same time she teaches in the Master Design of object of ESADSE. In 2021 she won second prize “La Boule Art Déco” competition from Émaux de Longwy with her vase,
Cosse,  which will be produced in an limitated edition. In 2018, she was a finalist of  the competition launched by Linkcity for the CAF Loire headquarters, with the chandelier Olumine, she made it produced by Bréhat glassworks, with whom she continues to work.

Throught her practice and her collaborations she attempts to contributeto the preservation of artisanal and ancestral know-how. Her drawing aims to shift craftsmen’s techniques with whom she works to find new fields of application ans new formal horizons.
